By downloading, accessing, or using gotem, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Use of the app
gotem is a mobile game for scanning real animals, generating fictional collectible crittrs, managing a deck, earning rewards, and battling. You may use gotem only for lawful personal use and in accordance with these terms.
The app depends on iOS permissions, camera access, HealthKit access, Apple StoreKit, network access, AI services, local device storage, and backend services. Some features may not work on every device, region, iOS version, account, or network.
2. gotem Pro and paid access
gotem requires an active gotem Pro subscription for core app access after onboarding. If your subscription expires, is canceled, is refunded, or cannot be verified, access to paid app features may be blocked until Pro is active again.
gotem may offer weekly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. The exact price, duration, renewal terms, trial or offer terms, and included features are shown in the app before purchase.
- Billing: Apple charges your Apple ID account after purchase confirmation.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Apple may charge the account within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid renewal.
- Management: manage, cancel, renew, upgrade, or downgrade subscriptions in Apple account subscription settings.
- Restores: use Restore Purchases in the app for eligible transactions.
- Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple under Apple policies.
3. Camera scans and AI output
gotem may use AI to detect animals in photos, verify that a scene appears real, and generate crittr names, stats, cards, moves, rarity-flavored descriptions, and other game content. AI output may be inaccurate, inconsistent, incomplete, delayed, or unsuitable.
AI-generated crittrs are fictional game content. gotem does not provide animal identification guarantees, veterinary guidance, wildlife safety guidance, medical advice, legal advice, or professional advice.
4. Your content and permissions
You are responsible for the photos, animal images, trainer names, support messages, and other content you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed to capture, submit, or use any photo or information in gotem.
You grant gotem permission to process your content only as needed to provide app features, operate the service, enforce limits, maintain reliability, improve app behavior, and provide support.
5. HealthKit and rewards
gotem may use Apple HealthKit step data, with your permission, to show step progress and award mystery boxes. Step rewards are game mechanics only. gotem is not a fitness, medical, health, diagnosis, treatment, or safety app.
Do not use gotem to make health decisions. You are responsible for your own movement, safety, surroundings, and device use.
6. Battles and online features
gotem may include local battles and online battle features such as player codes, invites, matchmaking, and turn-based battle sessions. Online features may be experimental, unavailable, delayed, limited, reset, or discontinued.
You are responsible for respectful play. We may limit or remove access to online features for misuse, abuse, cheating, disruption, or violation of these terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use gotem for illegal, abusive, deceptive, harmful, unsafe, or infringing activity.
- Scan people, private property, or animals in unsafe situations without permission.
- Use AI output as professional, medical, veterinary, safety, legal, or wildlife advice.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, exploit, or bypass gotem or connected services.
- Bypass subscription access controls, tamper with purchases, manipulate game state, or cheat in multiplayer features.
8. Third-party services
gotem is not affiliated with Apple, OpenAI, Supabase, or any animal, trading card, or monster-collection brand unless stated otherwise. Third-party services may change, delay, limit, reject, or discontinue functionality at any time.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, limit, rebalance, remove, or discontinue app features, crittr generation rules, battle behavior, rewards, subscription offerings, or online services at any time.
10. Warranty disclaimer
gotem is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, gotem and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost progress, failed scans, incorrect AI output, unavailable subscriptions, missed rewards, battle issues, network failures, or app access problems.
12. Privacy
Use of gotem is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
13. Termination
You may stop using gotem at any time. We may limit or terminate access for misuse or violation of these terms.
