Privacy Policy

1. Scope and who is responsible

This Privacy Policy applies to the Bull Buddy iOS app and the Bull Buddy pages on this website (charts-gpt.com/bullbuddy). “Bull Buddy”, “we” and “us” refer to the app's operator. For any privacy question, contact anthonyvvza@gmail.com.

2. Data stored on your iPhone

To work, the app keeps the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:

• Your profile: the first name you give, experience level, markets of interest, trading style and knowledge-check answers.
• Settings and preferences, such as appearance, currency, alerts and AI features on or off.
• Watchlists.
• Your trading journal, including notes and any screenshots you attach, and your practice-trading account.
• Learning progress: lessons, XP, streaks and Trader IQ.
• Your conversations with Bull, the AI companion.
• A history of live market alerts (kept for up to seven days), cached prices, news and economic-calendar data.

We cannot see this data. It is included in your device's own backups according to your iOS settings.

3. AI features

When AI features are on (Settings → AI & privacy), Bull's answers, news summaries and insights are generated by OpenAI. For each request we send:

• your question or the task, and the recent messages of that conversation;
• the market context needed to answer: prices, indicators, calendar events and headlines;
• your experience level and preferred explanation depth;
• only when you ask about your own trades: a summary of your journal statistics and recent trades.

OpenAI processes this to return the answer, under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not send your name, contact details or device identifiers with these requests. You can turn AI features off at any time; the rest of the app keeps working.

4. Market data and live alerts

Prices, charts, news and calendars are fetched directly from public data sources, including Binance, OKX, Bybit, Kraken, Coinbase, Yahoo Finance, Nasdaq, CoinGecko, alternative.me, Swissquote, Forex Factory or Financial Modeling Prep, Google News and news publishers' feeds.

These requests contain no personal information from the app. Like any internet request, they reveal your IP address and basic technical information to that provider. Live alerts for whale orders, liquidations and price spikes are read from public exchange streams only while the app is open, and are evaluated on your device.

5. Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase information from Apple, such as the product, price and dates. We never receive your payment details.

6. Notifications

Event alerts and learning reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone from the economic calendar. There is no push server and no notification token is sent to us.

7. This website

The website is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics, which measures page views in aggregate without cookies. Fonts and images are served from this site; no third-party advertising or tracking scripts are used on the Bull Buddy pages. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

8. What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your personal information for advertising.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.
• We don't create a profile of you on a server.
• We don't connect to your brokerage or exchange accounts, and practice trading never uses real money.

9. Your choices and rights

• Delete everything: Settings → Data → Delete account removes your profile, watchlists, journal, screenshots, progress, chat history and alerts from your iPhone, and cancels scheduled notifications. Deleting the app does the same.
• Export: export your journal as a CSV file from Settings.
• AI: turn AI features off in Settings.
• Notifications: turn alerts and reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU), you have rights to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because your data is stored on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, email us.

10. Children

Bull Buddy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app covers financial markets and is intended for adults.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
