This Privacy Policy explains how Footmaxxing processes information when you use the Footmaxxing iOS app and related support services.
1. Information you provide
Depending on how you use the app, Footmaxxing may process:
- Profile information, such as your name, foot-care goals, concerns you select, and journey preference.
- Foot photos that you capture with the camera or choose from your photo library.
- AI results, including reports, visual scores, observations, routines, progress notes, and comparisons.
- App activity stored on your device, such as completed routine tasks, check-ins, streaks, reminder preferences, and onboarding status.
- Purchase information, including product, transaction, entitlement, and renewal status for weekly or yearly subscriptions.
- Support information you choose to include when contacting support.
2. How information is used
- Generate your AI foot report, personalized routine, and progress comparison.
- Adapt guidance to the goals and concerns you selected.
- Save scans and history so you can review visible changes over time.
- Schedule optional reminders connected to your routine.
- Provide, validate, and restore paid subscription access.
- Operate the app, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and improve reliability.
3. AI processing and foot photos
When you request a scan, the current foot photo, relevant profile answers, and relevant report context are securely sent to OpenAI through its API to generate your report and routine. When creating a progress note, the current photo and a previous scan photo may both be sent for comparison.
OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. See OpenAI's data-use information.
Footmaxxing does not use photos to identify or authenticate you, build a biometric-identification database, or advertise to you. Only submit photos of yourself or photos you have clear permission to use.
4. Health-related information
Your selected concerns or photos may reveal information that could be considered health-related. Footmaxxing uses this information only to provide the app's requested visual analysis and routine. The app does not diagnose infections, fungal conditions, injuries, circulation problems, or other medical conditions.
5. Storage and retention
Your saved profile, scans, reports, routines, and progress history are stored primarily on your device. You can delete an individual scan, delete all scans while keeping your preferences, or use Delete Account in Settings to erase the locally stored profile, reports, routines, and photos.
Information transmitted to service providers may be processed and retained according to their policies, legal obligations, and security requirements. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond and maintain appropriate records.
6. Service providers
Footmaxxing does not sell personal information. Limited information is shared only where needed to provide the app:
- OpenAI processes foot photos and context used to generate AI reports, routines, and comparisons.
- Apple provides app distribution, device permissions, notifications, In-App Purchase billing, subscription management, and refunds.
- RevenueCat processes purchase history and anonymous entitlement information used to unlock subscription access. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
7. Permissions and choices
- Camera: used when you capture a foot scan. You can change access in iOS Settings.
- Photo library: used when you choose an existing photo.
- Notifications: used for optional reminders and can be disabled in Footmaxxing or iOS Settings.
- Subscriptions: can be managed or canceled in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Deletion: use the controls in Footmaxxing Settings to remove scans or erase local app data.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted network transport and iOS data-protection features. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children
Footmaxxing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app only with permission from a parent or guardian.
10. International processing and your rights
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. Contact us to make a privacy request.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows when this version became effective.
