For faster help, include your device model, iOS version, Smile Lock app version, what you were trying to do, and whether the issue involves Screen Time access, camera smile checks, notifications, or a weekly/yearly Smile Lock Pro subscription.
Subscriptions
Smile Lock Pro may be available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. Purchases, cancellations, renewals, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple.
- To cancel or manage a subscription, open iOS Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.
- To restore an eligible purchase, use Restore Purchases in the app.
- Refund requests must be submitted to Apple through Apple's refund process.
Screen Time access
Smile Lock needs Apple Screen Time and Family Controls access to protect selected apps. If shields do not appear, check that Screen Time access is allowed, the correct apps or categories are selected, and the device is not restricted by another Screen Time configuration.
Camera and smile checks
Smile checks need camera permission and a clear view of your face. If a check fails, try brighter lighting, keep your face in frame, and confirm camera access in iOS Settings.
Notifications
Unlock flows may use local notifications after you tap a shield action. If alerts do not appear, enable notifications for Smile Lock in iOS Settings or open Smile Lock manually after tapping the locked app.
Privacy and data deletion
Smile Lock stores profile data, protected app settings, smile history, and saved smile photos primarily on your device. Use the delete/reset option in the app to remove local profile data, smile history, protected apps, and saved smile photos.
