pray first

1. agreement and eligibility

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Pray First, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 to use Pray First. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use and any purchase. You must be legally permitted to use the app where you live.

2. personal-use service

Pray First is a Christian habit and productivity app. It can use Apple Screen Time frameworks to shield items you select, invite you to pray or read scripture, verify a visible prayer pose, show Bible text, schedule notifications, and record local progress.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pray First on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the App Store usage rules. The app is not a church, ministry, clergy service, counseling service, medical service, or emergency service.

3. your choices and responsible use

You decide which apps, categories, or websites to protect and when protection should run. Do not configure Pray First in a way that blocks access to services you may urgently need. Keep access to emergency calling, health, safety, work, education, caregiving, authentication, banking, transportation, and other essential functions appropriate for your circumstances.

You may not misuse Pray First, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service or Screen Time extensions, use the app unlawfully, circumvent purchase controls, reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits, or submit another person’s image without clear permission.

4. prayer-pose and AI verification

The verification feature checks only whether a specified visible posture appears in a current camera capture. It cannot determine whether someone is actually praying, what they believe, whether a prayer is sincere, or any spiritual outcome. A successful or failed result is not a statement about faith, morality, identity, or personal worth.

Automated checks can be inaccurate, unavailable, delayed, or affected by lighting, framing, clothing, mobility, network conditions, or device capabilities. The app may ask you to retry. If a pose is inaccessible to you, do not force a painful or unsafe movement; adjust or disable protection as available.

5. weekly and yearly subscriptions

Pray First may offer auto-renewing weekly and yearly subscription plans. The exact price, currency, billing period, trial or introductory offer, and renewal terms displayed in the app and Apple purchase sheet when you confirm are the controlling commercial terms of your purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends if an eligible free trial is shown and accepted.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the displayed period until canceled.
  • You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. For a trial or offer, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want the paid renewal.
  • Deleting Pray First or deleting local data does not cancel a subscription.
  • Eligible purchases can be restored in the app. Apple handles billing, cancellations, and refund requests.
  • Price changes, taxes, eligibility, billing recovery, grace periods, and refunds are governed by Apple and applicable law.

Full subscription details and help are available on the subscription page.

6. Bible and devotional content

Pray First includes the public-domain World English Bible (Protestant canon: 66 books). Bible text, verse selections, reminders, interface copy, and automated guidance are provided for personal reading and habit support. Verse excerpts may be selected automatically and can appear without their full chapter context.

Pray First does not claim authority to interpret scripture for you. For theological, pastoral, or personal guidance, consider the full passage and speak with a trusted qualified faith leader of your choice.

7. ownership and feedback

Pray First’s software, design, brand, graphics, and original content are owned by the app’s operator or licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public-domain Bible text remains public domain. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

If you voluntarily send feedback, you permit us to use it to improve Pray First without an obligation to compensate you, while we continue to handle personal information under the Privacy Policy.

8. third parties, availability, and changes

Pray First relies on Apple, OpenAI, RevenueCat, device hardware, network access, and operating-system features. Those services can change, fail, restrict, or discontinue functionality. Family Controls authorization may be denied or revoked, and app shields are not guaranteed to be impossible to bypass.

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features for product development, security, maintenance, misuse prevention, third-party changes, or legal compliance. Where required, material subscription-service changes will be communicated and paid access will be honored for the applicable subscription period subject to law and platform rules.

9. disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pray First is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect app blocking, successful notifications, accurate AI results, particular habit or spiritual outcomes, compatibility with every device, or error-free Bible search and display.

Nothing in Pray First is medical, mental-health, legal, professional, emergency, or individualized pastoral advice. Mandatory warranties and consumer protections that apply to you are not excluded.

10. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pray First and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from unavailable or bypassed blocking, missed notifications, inaccessible apps, AI errors, local data loss, third-party services, subscription issues, or reliance on automatically selected content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

11. termination and changes to terms

You may stop using Pray First at any time. We may limit or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, misuse the service, or where required for security or law. Subscription cancellation remains a separate action handled through Apple.

We may update these terms as the app changes. The effective date identifies the current version. If a change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms where permitted.

12. Apple terms and applicable rights

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. The app is licensed, not sold. If these terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms or laws that protect you as a consumer, those mandatory terms and laws control.
